Question though: is it hard to make? Because I was thinking of doing it but my schedule and economy isn't the best.
For me this was the hardest cosplay I've ever done, particularly the bodice, because I wanted it to fit perfectly, and I don't really know anything about drafting patterns. It took me three tries to get it right.
Also collars, I don't understand them. And making my own bias tape, that was also difficult... I couldn't find any gold satin bias tape in the width I wanted. The whole project took me quite a bit of time, but I had a lot to learn as I went.
How hard it would be would depend on how comfortable you are with sewing, I guess.
The materials weren't expensive at all, though. It's mostly cotton sateen, which I got from denverfabrics.com for $4/yd (I used royal blue, with a little green RIT dye added to make it teal), plus a half yard of faux mongolian fur (fabrics.com), and some cheap gold satin from Joann Fabrics.
If you want more technical advice, I'd be happy to write more details.
Wow by looking at the cosplay, it doesn't seem that difficult.
I mean, putting aside the details of course.
Now that I think about it, it will be tough to make this. Also considering that I don't have the greatest varieties of fabrics and stuff to make cosplays in my country, it will be difficult indeed.
Anyway, thanks for the input. It's really helpful c:
